A friend forwarded these pictures, purportedly taken in January, in Lead, South Dakota. Since I can never trust internet forwards as far as origin I haven't been able to verify that is actually where these pictures were taken, but obviously someplace had a tremendous amount of snow! I particularly like the first ones because I've never personally seen that much snow and am amazed at how the snow on the highway can be removed to make a tunnel for the cars.
In Illinois the most snow we've had over the years was 12-18 inches, which seemed like so much! But this is amazing!
