I've been reading so much lately about the epidemic of vitamin D deficiency. The information has convinced me that getting more vitamin D is one of the most important things we can do for our health.
Researchers are finding that a vitamin D deficiency increases our risk of many significant health problems including alzheimer's, cancer, autism, stroke, multiple sclerosis, and many more (see the article above). It seems to be a no brainer, then, that we should either take a vitamin D3 supplement, or get out in the sun more often for short periods without sunscreen, if these will increase our chances for optimum health and help us avoid many of the above diseases!
