Amphitheater Plans

I'm excited to have finally received the completed architectural plans for our new amphitheater!  I'm not sure what took so long--it's been several months--but at least we have them now.  There are a couple more steps we must take, including a survey of the property to get elevations for the seating area, and then we're ready to begin.  The engineer thought he could complete that by next week so we're getting close.   I spoke with the builder last week to tell him I thought it was time to get on the excavation/concrete work schedule.  Hopefully Eskers, who will be doing the concrete work, can work us in and we can start construction before November!
Everyone is getting anxious to begin--especially with winter just around the corner.  It will be so exciting to watch it take shape and then to have our first concert.  I can hardly wait!

Mysteries teach us the ways of God, which aren't always easy to recognize. Dreams that come from a spiritual source can be life-changing.
Flower Mound, TX (PRWEB) September 25, 2013
John Paul Jackson announces the Dreams and Mysteries TV program can be seen on Daystar Network, Thursday evenings 9:30-10:00 pm (CST) and Wednesday at 3pm.(CST). Dreams and Mysteries is a bold departure from standard Christian TV programs that are sermons or talk shows. Jackson is an internationally recognized authority on Christian spirituality and dream interpretation. On Dreams and Mysteries, John Paul Jackson explores a single topic in a "Ted Talk" documentary format that includes multiple segments produced in a film style that address each expansive subject on spirituality.
"We are dealing big concepts that impact the very fiber of people’s lives and destiny," says Jackson. "We want to help people explore spiritual mysteries and dreams in a way that is relevant, thoughtful and inspiring. Mysteries teach us the ways of God which aren’t always easy to recognize."
John Paul Jackson is often featured on Daystar’s Celebration with Marcus and Joni Lamb, Joni and Friends, 700 Club with Pat Robertson, TBN, God TV, Jim Bakker, Sid Roth and others.
Each Dreams and Mysteries episode focuses on a single topic such as: Angels, Demons, Power of Choice, True Spirituality, Prophets and Psychics, Time, and the Law of Attraction. Every week, Jackson will explore supernatural mysteries and "explain the unexplainable" using stories and demonstrations extracted from Biblical texts with real-life spiritual application and often with scientific proofs. Dreams & Mysteries programs have been adapted from Jackson’s thirty years of teaching and wealth of experience.
Mysteries, supernatural principles and their impact are often revealed through dreams. Jackson’s Biblical approach to dreams, being an overlooked means by which God speaks to His people, has been heralded by top leaders from both the secular and sacred arenas. Every episode of Dreams and Mysteriesincludes a dream reenactment and interpretation, showing its life-changing purpose.
"Dreams that come from the eternal spiritual source can be life-changing, but unfortunately too many Christians try to use a Freudian or Jungian instead biblical approach to dreams. It’s like trying to unlock a door with the wrong key, it doesn’t work," Jackson said recently. "What if last night, you had a God dream that gave you an answer to an important question, but you didn’t realize it?"
From the young to the old, in every culture, every person wants to understand the meaning of their dreams and grasp the mysteries of life.
"In life’s journey all of us are captivated by the wonder of mysteries and dreams from spiritual dimensions. In the seeking, we find more than truth, we find ourselves, and discover the incredible design and love of God," Jackson said.
Dreams & Mysteries with John Paul Jackson airs Thursday evenings from 9:30-10:00 CST and Wednesdays at 3:00-3:30 CST. The show premieres Oct. 3rd on the Daystar Network.

New Additon -- 'Canvas Prints' Page

Because there have been inquiries about the canvas print fundraiser which was mentioned in an earlier post, I have added a Canvas Print Page to the blog.  I mentioned earlier I would post prices, etc. if there was interest, so this seemed to be the easiest and best way to add the information.  The tab near the top of the blog will take you there.  If you would like a full color brochure in digital format, email me at countrygirl@shalominthewilderness.com and I will get one to you promptly.
Canvas prints make beautiful, long lasting Christmas gifts which the whole family will enjoy.  We are excited to be able to offer these premium quality prints at very affordable prices as a service to you while helping us fund Heritage Days and other programs in the community.  This is a win-win situation for all of us, we think, so we will be grateful for all orders.

I have discovered another job I will not be applying for!

Yesterday and the day before Jones Tree Service was at our house removing dead trees from the yard.  Since we live in the woods there are always trees dying, it seems.  We have been waiting for them to come for almost a year because of unforeseen circumstances, so in the meantime a couple more trees died.  Therefore, they had 8 to remove.  All but 2 were in our front yard so they could use their truck to hoist the tree cutter up to the branches to remove those first, but there was no way to get that big truck into the back yard.
They were able to fell one of the backyard trees without removing branches because there was nothing in the way but brush to be damaged in the fall.  The other one was very near the house, so Tim Jones climbed the tree and removed the 3 large branches one at a time.  I was so impressed at how he directed each to fall clear of anything that could have been damaged--like the deck, the house, the flower gardens, the bird feeders!
In case you've not had the opportunity to watch an expert at work, I am posting some pictures.
Beginning the climb

Can you see the notch he is making in the first branch

First branch beginning to fall

Right where he wanted it

Two down-one to go

He climbed higher to attach a rope to help direct the last branch which was also the largest.

It, too, fell right where he wanted it.

Then he began cutting 3 to 4 foot sections of the trunk as he lowered himself down.

As he cut the sections they stayed exactly where he cut them until he pushed them off.

So much sawdust!
Can you imagine how tired he must be by now, holding the saw and balancing himself away from the tree?

One last section
And now the trunk is small enough to fell without doing any damage
The tree was successfully removed and I very much enjoyed watching it happen.

An All-Saints Move of God by Denny Cline

From today's  The Elijah List prophetic newsletter, which you can sign up for by clicking the link
                                                   Denny Cline:
Denny Cline       You don't have to be especially prophetic to know the earth is groaning, even travailing, to see God's sons and daughters manifest the Kingdom of Heaven on earth.  We have been in reformation for some time now.     Reformations happen over years, not months, weeks, or days. It was a struggle in Martin Luther's time for over 100 years to bring change to Christianity. It has also taken nearly 100 years to see the Pentecostal movement have the impact on the world it now has. In either case, the desired effect did not occur until it became an everyday saint move of God, owned by the saints at large, and not just the leaders.
Since the early 1900s, there have been many outpourings of the Holy Spirit. Some were called evivals, and others visitations or renewals. Some carried miracles, healings, and salvations. Thank God that He shows up for the Church in an extraordinary way to pour out His Spirit! I have pondered for some time what the Church might look like in a decade or more.
In 2006 I heard an audible voice on the way to minister in a poor Catholic church outside of Sao Paulo, Brazil. The compassion of Jesus came upon me as I looked at a poor village and heard these words, not from the inside but like someone talking to me,"Denny, the key to revival is the restoration of family." It shook me. And it shook the meeting we were about to experience. This word has continued to grow in my spirit on many levels. Now, it is finding root in my thinking about the Church, the Body of Christ. And I believe it is this: It's time for an all-saints move of God.
It's Time To Stir Up the Gifts By the Laying On of Hands
That said, it's time to stir up the gifts by the laying on of hands. At this point, I could go into a long theological discourse on the doctrine of the laying on of hands, which is listed as essential in Hebrews 6. For the sake of time and room, let me just boil it down to this: It's time to get away from the few and the pew ministry. Paul described the purpose of five-fold ministries as "the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry."Jesus said, "Those who believe...will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover."
Equip and impart, activate, commission and send      We have many great translocal ministries today, and even more access to them via Internet, television, and other media. But we will never see our world impacted from the pew. What I mean is thatit's time for the saints to go from the seats to the streets.   In saying that, I am not meaning just outreaches, or even the great things that are happening by sharing the Gospel and "treasure hunting." I mean in every arena of life. Part of equipping is impartation, activation, commissioning, and sending, not just teaching and modeling. The training model of Jesus was not limited to the disciples merely watching, but also doing and going.
In order for this to happen, we need a release of creativity plus divine order like never before. We have become too vicarious as a body of Believers, stuck on our favorite personalities and limited in what the Church looks like in action. There are lots of good things happening, but we must go from a conference-only mentality to becoming a supernatural family where every part supplies what not only the body needs, but also what the world needs.

                                  Unity and Activation
I believe the two most important imperatives for the Church this year and into the next are unity and activation.
Genuine unity can only come through ongoing relationship with love and honor. It won't happen in "agreeing to disagree" or by just having regional conferences only, as powerful as they can be. I see "nets that work" being thrown out to regions where real friendships and mutual honor develops among congregations and ministries. The cry will be unity that says, "I am not ashamed of the Gospel, and I am not ashamed of the Church," because of sincere love and relationships that work together for the Gospel.
I also see saints being activated in settings like Acts 13, where five-fold gifts and the saints in unity are praying and even fasting together. The result is commissioning and sending, as well as other kinds of activation of the saints in their gifts and callings. This won't be haphazard but through relationship and love. This kind of action will release a momentum and authority to do what we have been telling people they can and should do – because they have the same Spirit inside as He who raised Christ from the dead.

Two Operations For the Laying On of Hands
Laying on of hands     There are two operations for laying hands on others:
1. Every born again, Spirit-filled saint can lay hands on others to bless, heal, deliver, and see others receive a touch from God or be filled with the Holy Spirit.
2. Laying hands on the saints for commissioning and sending, like in Acts 6 and 13.
Both operations deserve more explanation than there is room to give here. I spoke on both at length in August in our local congregation, if you are interested in more detail. But suffice it to say, it's time to stir up the gifts through the laying on of hands in both ways, and for the saints to start a grassroots movement in and out of the church that is about the Body, and especially the Head, Jesus, not just certain other parts. It's past time for another all-saints movement that is founded on love, honor, relationship, and genuine unity. This is none other than a supernatural family invading the world with everything Heaven has to offer from everyday saints. Over the past several years, lots of congregations and ministries have been coming together in different ways to work together. Genuine unity is setting us up for another outpouring of the Holy Spirit.

Scared, A Novel by Tom Davis

I just finished reading a most inspiring, convicting, thought-provoking, tender novel entitled, Scared, by Tom Davis.  I could hardly put it down!   It's a book I believe everyone should read.  It certainly woke me from complacency and stirred my heart with compassion for the plight of the children left as orphans in the AIDS epidemic in Africa.
Mr. Davis feels so strongly about this cause that he is President and CEO of The Children's Hope Chest, a Christian-based child advocacy organization helping orphans in Eastern Europe and Africa.

Economical Canvas Photo Prints from Martinsville On The Move

Time out from regular posts for a little promotion of our new fundraiser.

The Festivals & Events committee of Martinsville on the Move has begun a new fundraiser to help pay for programs we would like to begin scheduling for the 2014 summer season in our new amphitheater.  Not only will it help us raise money, but it is a great service for those who want to avail themselves of it.
We have found an excellent company which will make premium quality canvas prints to our specifications.  Our committe has a wonderful selection of ready made prints to choose from, some of flowers, horses, landscapes, etc. to add to any decor, or we can help you turn your favorite family photo into a masterpiece that will last for generations.  I have researched other companies' prices and believe that we are competitive with even the cheaper companies even though our canvases use much better quality materials.  Those companies that use materials comparable to those we offer, price their canvases nearly double the price we are able to charge.  If you provide us with a jpeg photo by email we can make corrections or enhancements to your photo, place your order and then the company can ship it directly from the factory to anywhere in the U.S. and Canada or if you are a local you can pick it up at Mustard Seeds in downtown Martinsville.  The turn around time is approximately 1 week.  Not only will these prints be beautiful additions to your walls, but they would make unique gifts for your family and friends.
If you are interested in great quality canvas prints at economical prices while helping us support our community projects, please leave a comment with your email address, or email me for more information.  If there is enough interest I will post prices and examples of ready made canvases on the blog.  I also would be happy to email you a PDF file of our brochure.  Just send an email request to countrygirl@shalominthewilderness.com.

Smith Wigglesworth quotes

Some people asked Smith Wigglesworth, a great Apostle of Faith in the first half of the 20th century, about prayer. They said, “Smith Wigglesworth, you’re a man of faith and miracles, you’ve raised people from the dead. You’ve cast out more demons than we’ve had hot dinners. Tell us, how long do you pray every day?
Well, the apostle replied, "I don't ever pray any longer than twenty minutes."
"What?" his questioners exclaimed!  After pausing for effect, Smith Wigglesworth continued, "Yes, but I never go twenty minutes without praying."

Your prayer life is not measured in minutes. Prayer is a lifestyle. Prayer is a constant two-way communication with God. Prayer is essential to living in freedom.

Which conservative news outlet contributes 3 to 1 to Democrats? Mychal Massie points out media bias and hypocrisy

You want to know just how biased and disreputable the media are? Consider this past week.
Approximately 1.2 million, if not more, motorcyclists rode into Washington, D.C., to show respect and remembrance for those who were murdered by Muslim terrorists on Sept. 11, 2001. We’re talking a line of bikers 55 miles long and four bikes across. The deafening silence of the media pursuant to reporting on this epic show of determinism and patriotism is morally opprobrious even by the media’s own low standards.
The over 1 million motorcyclists were, in effect, the antimycin to the fungus of arrogance by Muslims who had planned to hold a march on Washington to protest how unfairly they are being treated in America.  And to do so, they chose the day their own kind had murdered innocent Americans in 2001 and had murdered again in 2012.
Washington and the media did their best to discourage and minimize the stoicism of the bikers.  They were denied permits and police excorts, and the media have refused to acknowledge their magnanimous display of American patriotism.

Rufus Moseley Was A Great Influence on Tommy Tyson

Tommy Tyson loved Rufus Moseley (See Sept. 5 blogpost on Rufus) and learned so much from him. Here he explains his quest for the baptism of the Holy Spirit which was so real to Rufus that a great hunger was created in Tommy.
"How I Was Baptized in the Spirit"  By Rev. Tommy Tyson
"Every time I would question Rufus Moseley about this special presence of Jesus, he would talk about the baptism with the Holy Spirit as a means of coming into union with Jesus. God began creating a great hunger in my heart. I did not know, however, how to go about preparing myself for this baptism by the Holy Spirit. Nevertheless, the Lord slipped in on me.
It happened in the men’s Bible class at the church I pastored. The lesson that day was on Pentecost (in the Second Chapter of Acts). The teacher didn’t know any more about it experientially than I did. When he finished with the lesson, he turned to me and said, "Pastor, do you have something you’d like to add to this lesson?" I thought to myself, "I have something I’d like to say, but I’d better not let them know it." I wanted to get up and tell these men how desperately I’d been seeking for the experience that the lesson dealt with. But, when this idea came to my mind, I thought I’d best not speak it, because, if these men, who made up the official body of the church, discovered how inadequate I was, they would lose their respect for me. Then I would no longer have a ministry!
But then, this question came to my mind very forcibly: "Do you want a ministry of your own making, or do you want to be filled with the Spirit of God?" Impulsively, I came up to the lectern and gripped it. It was the most difficult step I have ever had to take: I was willing to make a fool of myself in the eyes of those who had accepted me as their pastor. They loved me very much, and I loved them, so I felt I was sacrificing the most precious thing God had ever given me, and that was the pastorate of this church. In fact, it was so difficult, it has made every other step since then relatively easy.
Nevertheless, I told these men how empty I was, how much I really desired and needed what that lesson had dealt with.
While I was making a real mess of the whole explanation, God came to my rescue. While I stood before these men, telling them about my need and desire to be filled with the Holy Spirit, God began to fill me. I didn’t know what was happening. It was as if wave on wave of power that I had never thought possible began to wash through my heart and mind — my inner being. The first thing of which I became conscious was that I was no longer nearly so concerned about what these men might think about me as I was of a desire to bless them.
This breaking of my fear of public opinion was my first awareness of the baptism of the Holy Spirit. This whole experience came to a climax one evening in the parsonage as I was sharing what had happened to me with my friend Wayne McClain. As we shared together — again, without my knowing what really took place or how it happened — suddenly, from within, without any kind of outward manifestation, there came a revelation of the Lord Jesus Christ Himself — from within me. And, in that moment, the Scripture came to my mind and flowed through my lips, "God has made Him to be unto me wisdom and righteousness and sanctification and redemption."
I realized that life is a Person, and His Name is Jesus; that wisdom is a Person and His Name is Jesus; that sanctification is not just gritting your teeth and trying to do it, but it’s a person, and His Name is Jesus. As I understand it, this is what is happening to me in my own life: Jesus being revealed from within."

The Power of Leftist Mythmaking

More information on how we are being brainwashed into supporting leftist causes:

MATTHEW SHEPARD, TRAYVON MARTIN, BRANDON DARBY AND THE POWER OF LEFTIST MYTHMAKING

The blockbuster story that the facts in the Matthew Shepard murder case have been distorted in order to promote a political agenda is another example of the power of the left's narrative mythmaking. Gay journalist Stephen Jimenez presents a new argument as to the details of Shepard's murder in The Book of Matt, but he's up against 15 years of storytelling and inverted reality.

WM Branham.wmv

I have heard that William Branham got off track in his later years of ministry (something that can happen to any of us if we are not associated with a body of believers to keep us accountable). But nevertheless for most of his ministry he was an anointed minister of the Lord who was so yielded to the Holy Spirit that he 'knew' things about people he had never met and was able to disclose those things so the person could be healed.  This video shows one such instance.

1 Cor. 3:17

Beware of the Stronghold of Cold Love by Francis Frangipane

The Ministries of Francis Frangipane

Beware of the Stronghold of Cold Love

Is your love growing softer, brighter and more visible? Or is it becoming more discriminating, more calculating, less vulnerable and less available? This is a very important issue, for your Christianity is only as real as your love. A measurable decrease in your ability to love is evidence that a stronghold of cold love is developing within you.

Jesus warned of our era. He said, "Many will fall away and will betray one another and hate one another. Many false prophets will arise and will mislead many. Because lawlessness is increased, most people's love will grow cold" (Matt. 24:10-12). So, let us honestly ask the Lord to examine us: Is our love hot or cold? Another's thoughtlessness may have wounded us deeply, but instead of forgiving the wound or going to them and discussing it according to Matthew 18, we go to others with our complaint. The wound then begins to germinate into a root of bitterness, and many are being defiled (Heb. 12:15). What is growing in us is not love but bitterness, which is unfulfilled revenge.

Again, Jesus warned "that stumbling blocks [would] come" (Matt. 18:7). There will be times when even good people have bad days; there will never be a time when "stumbling blocks" cease to be found upon your path. Remember also, people do not stumble over boulders but over stones -- little things. When you have stumbled over something, you've stopped walking.

Have you stumbled over someone's weakness or sin lately? Have you gotten back up and continued loving as you did before, or has that fall caused you to withdraw from walking in love? To preserve the quality of your love, you must forgive those who have caused you to stumble. Depending on the issue itself, it may be that you legitimately cannot trust them, but you do not have a reason to stop loving.

Every time you refuse to forgive or fail to overlook a weakness in another, your heart not only hardens toward them, it hardens toward God. You may still think you are open to God, but the Scriptures are clear: "The one who does not love his brother whom he has seen, cannot love God whom he has not seen" (1 John 4:20). You may not like what someone has done, but you do not have an option to stop loving them.

What do I mean by love? First, I do not merely mean "tough love." I mean gentle, affectionate, sensitive, open, persistent love. God will be tough when He needs to be, and we will be firm when He tells us to be, but beneath our firmness must be an underground river of love waiting to spring into action. When I have love for someone, I have predetermined that I am going to stand with them, regardless of what they are going through. I am committed.

We each need people who love us, who are committed to us in spite of our imperfections. The fullness of Christ will not come without Christians standing with each other in love. We are not talking about salvation but growing in salvation until we care for each other, even as Christ has committed Himself to us.

The goal of pulling down the stronghold of cold love is to see our hearts restored to the heart of Christ. You will be challenged in this, but if you persist, you will discover the height and depth and breadth of Christ's love. You will become "a body filled and flooded with God Himself" (Eph. 3:19 Amp).

Wag the Dog: A Movie That Shows Us That Things Are Not As They Appear

Have you seen "Wag The Dog" with Dustin Hoffman, Ann Heche & Robert DeNiro?  Country Guy and I taped it earlier this month and watched it last night.  I could not believe how similar it was to what is happening today, even though the movie was made in 1999.  In the movie the President was involved in a scandal, so his handlers hired a Hollywood producer to manufacture a war to divert attention away from his conduct.  With the help of the movie studio it was amazing how easy it was for them to spin things into being believable, and therefore to sway the voters.
If you want an education on how things can be manipulated to make the President look Presidential, I would recommend this movie.

*Caution:  There is much use of the "f" word which would have kept me from watching it except I was fascinated with how much the movie was paralleling life today.

The Word For You Today Devotional Sept. 10

We attended a church a couple of weeks ago where we were given a free copy of "The Word For You Today" devotional.  I have found it practical and inspiring.  Yesterday's devotional was particularly helpful to me because I seem to be addicted to eating.  Whenever I have a few extra minutes I look for something to eat--preferably chocolate.  Consequently, over the years I've put on a few extra pounds which I would like to lose but have not been motivated enough to stop eating sweets.  Yesterday I was thinking about how Christians are called to represent (re-present) Jesus to the world.  Do I represent Him in the best possible manner if I am careless about my appearance, or my words, or my habits?
Then I read the devotional for Sept. 10 entitled, "Handling Temptation" with Pr. 4:23, "Keep your heart with diligence" as the included verse.  I tried to find the devotional online, but since I couldn't I decided to type it here because I'm going to need to read it over and over.  I particularly liked the illustration at the end.  I need to continually keep my eyes on my Father.

We all have our battlegrounds; in some cases they're things we surrendered to years ago that now prowl through our innermost thoughts.  That's why the Scriptures warn, "Keep your heart with all diligence, for out of it spring the issues of life."
Max Lucado writes: "I'm at my desk in a hotel room far from home.  The voices that encourage are distant; the voices that entice are near.  A placard on my nightstand invites me to the lounge 'to make new friends in a relaxing atmosphere.'  Another on top of the TV promises late-night movies that will 'make all my fantasies come true.'  In the phonebook several columns of escort services offer 'Love away from home.'  Voices!  Some for pleasure, some for power.  The world rams at your door, Jesus taps.  The world promises fleshly pleasure, Jesus promises us a quiet dinner...with Him: "I will come in and eat with him, and he with me' (Rev. 3:20 NIV). Which voice will you obey?"
You ask, "How should I handle tempting situations?"
In two ways: First, by filling your mind with Scripture so that your first response is always, "It is written."  Second, by keeping your eyes on Jesus.  Lesley Durkin writes, "My father used to put a bit of meat on the floor near his dog and say, "No!"  The dog never touched it.  But he never looked at it either, because if he did the temptation to disobey would have been too great.  He just kept looking at my father's face."
Keep your eyes on Jesus.  "Those who look to him are radiant; their faces are never covered with shame."  (Ps. 34:5 NIV)

So True!

An email with the following included has been circulating for quite awhile.   I have not checked to see if the person it is attributed to actually said it because it doesn't matter to me who said it.  This is the truth.
I pray for a spiritual awakening in America.  Returning to God is our only hope.
This quote came from the Former Premier of the Czech Republic.  Someone over there has it figured out.  We have a lot of work to do
.
"The danger to America is not Barack Obama but a citizenry capable of entrusting a man like him with the Presidency.  It will be far easier to limit and undo the follies of an Obama presidency than to restore the necessary common sense and good judgment to a depraved electorate willing to have such a man for their president.
The problem is much deeper and far more serious than Mr. Obama, who is a mere symptom of what ails America.  Blaming the prince of the fools should not blind anyone to the vast confederacy of fools that made him their prince.
The Republic can survive a Barack Obama, who is, after all, merely a fool.  It is less likely to survive a multitude of fools such as those who made him their president."

"Believe in Christ": It's Not What You Think by Lois Tverberg

Another devotional from Lois Tverberg's website: followtherabbi.com

Jesus-Statue-1What do we need to believe to be saved?
What if we can’t be perfectly sure of the absolute accuracy of every biblical document that has been preserved? Are we in trouble? I’ve seen a lot of folks get tied up in knots over this.

I’d like to suggest that there’s actually a simple answer, but it’s not the standard one you’ve heard.

As the New Testament writers meant it, “believing in Christ” is not quite what you think it means, unless you know its original context. (Read the rest of this article at this link.)

So Much For Global Warming

Too bad those who have made millions from the fallacy of man-made global warming will do everything they can to keep this news from the public.  This excerpt is from today's The Patriot Post email newsletter.
2013-09-09-505b3321_large.jpeg
On that note, The Telegraph reports, "There has been a 60 per cent increase in the amount of [Arctic] ocean covered with ice compared to this time last year, the equivalent of almost a million square miles." In response, many scientists are now arguing that a period of global cooling is forthcoming, which could continue until mid-century.
If this sounds hugely contrary to previous prognostications, that's because it is. Consider this report by the BBC from December 2007: "Scientists in the US have presented one of the most dramatic forecasts yet for the disappearance of Arctic sea ice. Their latest modeling studies indicate northern polar waters could be ice-free in summers within just 5-6 years." In other words, we should have had an ice-free Arctic by this summer. Yet, here we are, and environmentalists are left once again scratching their heads for an explanation of what went wrong with their manufactured crisis. Before you know it, they'll be blaming the Syrian conflict on global warming. Oh, wait...

Another testimony of healing from Mrs. M. Legate Pople, Orange N.S.W. "Genesis 24:27 'I being in the way, the Lord led me' seems to be the best explanation of God's wondrous blessings to me five weeks ago. How I did want to go home! My poor heart was in such a state, past all human aid; even the casing was ruptured so that the least move would cause a lump to protrude like an egg. For sixteen weeks I just lay prostrate, and how lovely it was to feel so near home, so often almost through the pearly gates; how real the dawning of that eternal day was to me, and how I just longed to enter right in. I was so bent on going 'home to glory' that when asked if I would like to have Evangelist Wigglesworth pray for me if I should be here when he came, I said an emphatic 'No,' and I certainly meant it. Such a band of dear friends were praying for me everywhere that I just felt I wanted no more; my mind and my hopes were all centered on things above and not on things here below. How little did I know what wondrous blessings there were here below that I had not even tasted of, that my dear loving Savior wanted me to experience before I should pass through the pearly gates, and how graciously did He work to bring it to pass.
"Brother Wigglesworth was not expected here for nearly two months, when suddenly dates were altered and he arrived almost without warning. Of course, this did not concern me, for my fellow invalid, Sister Todd (whose testimony is also given in this chapter) and I had made up our minds that we weren't going to have anything to do with the mission of the evangelist. How true are the Lord's words, 'My thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways My ways, saith the Lord Isa. 55:8-11. As the mission went on, my friend, who was adverse to the teaching of Divine Healing, began to search the Scriptures afresh to see if these things that were being taught, and which were confidently affirmed by numbers around who believed, were so. She became so convinced of the truth of God., who said, 'I am the Lord; I change not,' that she came into my room saying she intended going to the mission for the laying on of hands and prayer.
"That night I saw her making her way out on her crutches to the car in great agony, and somehow I felt in myself that she would be healed. After her return she came skipping down the steps to my room, like the man of old leaping and praising God, and saying, 'Sister, I'm healed, I'm healed,' and so she was, perfectly and completely. Hallelujah! It was wonderful.
"All that night I prayed and sought the Lord, and then came the thought how could I face my dear Lord whom I loved with all my heart if I just slipped home, having refused to prove whether He wanted me to do any more 'little corner filling' for Him, when before my eyes He had wrought such a miracle.
"In the morning, the closing day of the mission, I was waiting for someone to come down to my room, to ask them if they would take a message to Brother Wigglesworth and see if he would come and pray for me after the morning service. After breakfast I could hear the dear ones of the house holding a prayer meeting, but as they had closed the door I could not hear what was taking place. How I was longing for someone to come in to take my message, but no, time was getting away, and how I pleaded with the Lord. Could it be that they were all too much occupied with their own blessings and were unmindful of me? I questioned. Ah no, but because I had said 'No' so decisively they would not ask me again, and they were all asking the Lord to constrain me to ask for prayer.
"Presently different ones came into my room but did not look at me or give me the usual smile and kind word. I asked each if they would take my message, and not until I had made the request five times did I get a promise that they would. I had said 'No' once but had to say 'Yes' five times. How long it seemed before that morning service was over; but at last, in came the matron, face beaming, and said, 'He's come.' I vaguely remember seeing a man step into the room, and after that saw no man but Jesus only. How sweetly does the dear Lord manifest Himself. The evangelist told his daughter (Mrs. Salter) to put her hands on my knees, and he put his on my head and prayed a wonderful prayer (wonderful to me because I was right in glory). Then he laid his hands on my heart and prayed for my healing, at the same time rebuking death and commanding it to be dashed away in Jesus' name.
"When he first came in he said, 'Are you ready to get up?' I said, 'Yes, I am,' and now he said, 'Get up,' and up I got. My inability to even move just a few minutes before was entirely forgotten. One thought only seemed to possess me, and that was to get dressed as quickly as possible. I rushed across the floor and lifted down two heavy suitcases filled with books in order to get to where I could find some clothing. I was in such a hurry, I wanted to be dressed ready to greet 'my girls' of my Bible class who used to flock in after church just to have a peep at me. In the afternoon before I had lain semi-conscious for hours, and those who saw me then thought perhaps it was the last look; and here I was trying to find clothes to let them see me every bit whole! I was just ready when the door opened and a number of them were admitted, and what a shock they got. Some wept; some laughed, then wept, they hugged me, then would think of my heart and let go; but it was all right. I was healed perfectly and completely, and felt no weakness after my sixteen weeks in bed, when I had eaten scarcely anything. All the while I had lain there I was neither hungry nor thirsty, and would take little sips just to oblige those who brought it to me. Now I wanted my dinner, and a good dinner I had. I was changed, a new creation, just filled with God, divinely healed, raised up in a moment, from the shadow of death to abounding life--saved to serve.

"The day following my healing I was gloriously baptized in the Holy Spirit according to Acts 2:4, and daily and hourly He fills me with joy unspeakable and full of glory."

Woman who exposed sharia horrors executed by militants in Afghanistan

The mainstream media needs to be informing us of the terrible evil of Sharia law, but instead ignores or even promotes "peaceful Islam."  This is coming to our country if we don't wise up and stop it.  Sharia law is already implemneted in areas in London and there is a push for it in Dearborn, Michigan.  Not many are aware of this.  Help spread the word.  Do your own research.

Pray that a revival of Christianity will sweep this land because no matter what anyone says--Jesus is the answer.  He loves us more than we can understand or imagine.  He has great plans and purposes for our lives and those do not include being subjected to evil.

A Good Deed Goes a Long Way

From the Patriot Post newletter today.

Inspiration: A Good Deed Goes a Long Way

How about some good news? Several years ago, country singer Tim McGraw released a song titled "Live Like You Were Dying." McGraw offered both fun and thoughtful answers to the question many of us ponder: What would you do with your last days on earth? One woman in Auburn, Maine, answered that question with an act of kindness that will be remembered long after she's gone.
The woman went to a local Kmart and paid off 16 layaway orders that struggling families hadn't yet paid. "She paid off 16 layaways in cash, about $3,000," said store manager Joyce Beane. "Then she said, 'I'm not feeling well. I need to leave.'" The woman only explained that she was extremely ill and wanted to do something good before she died. "I wanted to cry," Beane added. "It was that powerful."
Rina Thibeau was one recipient of this gracious gift. She's a grandmother working nights as a janitor, and she also runs a charity called Christmas Smilez that gives to needy kids. The gifts she had on layaway at Kmart were for these kids, meaning the generosity of the "Layaway Angel" will go even further. Beane concluded, "It takes something like this to make you think, 'Oh, my word. If I were facing the end of my life, would I take time to reach out and help people?'" Only if you live like you were dying.
