Our Nebraska grandchildren & their parents visited over the weekend. They brought with them some of their pumpkins & gourds to use for decorations at the Celebrate Fall Festival we're having on Saturday.
One of the activities for the festival is The Great Pumpkin Carving Contest. The boys (ages 6 & 8) and I decided to carve a pumpkin to enter since they don't have to be present to win and the $50 First Prize sounded enticing to them. We found the idea for the carving on the internet and were pleased with the result. I was amazed how much of it the boys were able to do! We made a great mess of the kitchen but the fun and memories were worth it!
If you live in the area get busy carving and come on down to the Festival!
