Hillary Clinton: A Career Criminal

I don't enjoy using my blog for political means, but this woman is a threat to our country.  We who have any exposure on the Internet need to be getting the truth out about her because the mainstream media won't.  Hilary Clinton is a criminal who should be in jail.  If any of us had done even one of the things she has been involved with we would be.
Yet over 40% of the American voters say they will vote for her!  How shocking!  On the chance that they have not known or have forgotten the scandals she has been involved with I am posting this video.  And for those of us who already know, I'm posting it so we can share it with others.  We must stop this.  It is not a Democrat vs Republican thing.  This is an evil, power hungry, godless person who has intimidated everyone who doesn't agree with her so that she can rule those of us she finds inferior.  She believes she is above the law.  I pray someone is brave enough and has enough influence to show her she isn't.  Let's help them by getting the word out.

Additional prayer quotes

Now that the New Year is almost upon us it seems a good time to refocus on the need for prayer and the results of seeking God.  Here are a few more quotes on prayer I have gathered over the years:

God never gives us discernment in order that we may criticize, but that we may intercede. ~ Oswald Chambers

To desire revival…and at the same time to neglect(personal) prayer and devotion is to wish one way and walk another. ~ A.W. Tozer

God does not delay to hear our prayers because He has no mind to give; but that, by enlarging our desires, He may give us the more largely.     Anselm of Canterbury

All I know is that when I pray, coincidences happen; and when I don’t pray, they don’t happen. ~ Dan Hayes

Prayer is a shield to the soul, a sacrifice to God, and a scourge for Satan. ~ John Bunyan

The fewer the words the better prayer.  ~ Martin Luther

Prayer is an effort of will.  ~ Oswald Chambers

Our prayer and God’s mercy are like two buckets in a well; while one ascends, the other descends.  ~ Arthur Hopkins

If sinners be damned, at least let them leap to Hell over our bodies. If they will perish, let them perish with our arms about their knees. Let no one go there unwarned and unprayed for.  ~ Charles H. Spurgeon

It is because of the hasty and superficial conversation with God that the sense of sin is so weak and that no motives have power to help you to hate and flee from sin as you should. ~ A.W. Tozer

Prayer is not monologue, but dialogue. Gods voice in response to mine is its most essential part. ~ Andrew Murray

Don’t pray when you feel like it. Have an appointment with the Lord and keep it. A man is powerful on his knees. ~ Corrie Ten Boom

Prayer is the acid test of devotion. ~ Samuel Chadwick

Prayer – secret, fervent, believing prayer – lies at the root of all personal godliness.  ~ Williams Carey

Psalm 107:28-30 Then they cried to the LORD in their trouble, and he delivered them from their distress. He made the storm be still, and the waves of the sea were hushed. Then they were glad that the waters were quiet, and he brought them to their desired haven

Matthew 7:7  ”Ask, and it will be given to you seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.

Matthew 21:22 And whatever you ask in prayer, you will receive, if you have faith.”

Mark 11:24  Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.

John 14:13-14 Whatever you ask in my name, this I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask me anything in my name, I will do it

Acts 9:40 But Peter put them all outside, and knelt down and prayed; and turning to the body he said, “Tabitha, arise.” And she opened her eyes, and when she saw Peter she sat up.

Mark 9:29  And he said to them, “This kind cannot be driven out by anything but prayer.”

James 5:14-16 Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer of faith will save the one who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. And if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven. Therefore, confess your sins to one another and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person has great power as it is working.

Ephesians 6:18 praying at all times in the Spirit, with all prayer and supplication. To that end keep alert with all perseverance, making supplication for all the saints,

Philippians 4:6-7 do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

The Twelve Days of Christmas Explained

This is an interesting explanation of the popular Twelve Days of Christmas song which I found on this site.  It is so much more fun to sing ite knowing the deeper meaning.

The song, "The Twelve Days of Christmas" is an English Christmas carol. From 1558 until 1829, Roman Catholics in England were not permitted to practice their faith openly. Someone during that era wrote this carol as a catechism song for young Catholics. It has two levels of meaning: the surface meaning plus a hidden meaning known only to members of the Church. Each element in the carol has a code word for a religious reality which the children could remember. To fit the number scheme, when you reach number 9, representing the Fruits of the Holy Ghost, the originator combined 6 to make 3, taking the 6 fruits that were similar: the fruit in each parenthesis is one that was not named separately. There are actually Twelve Fruits of the Holy Ghost.
The "True Love" one hears in the song is not a smitten boy or girlfriend but Jesus Christ, because truly Love was born on Christmas Day. The partridge in the pear tree also represents Him because that bird is willing to sacrifice its life if necessary to protect its young by feigning injury to draw away predators.
According to Ann Ball in her book, HANDBOOK OF CATHOLIC SACRAMENTALS:
The two turtle doves were the Old and New Testaments
The three French hens stood for faith, hope, and love.
The four calling birds were the four gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John.
The five golden rings rerepresented the first five books of the Old Testament, which describe man's fall into sin and the great love of God in sending a Savior.
The six geese a-laying stood for the six days of creation.
Seven swans a-swimming represented the sevenfold gifts of the Holy Spirit-----Prophesy, Serving, Teaching, Exhortation, Contribution, Leadership, and Mercy.
The eight maids a-milking were the eight beatitudes.
Nine ladies dancing were the nine fruits of the Holy Spirit-----Charity, Joy, Peace, Patience [Forbearance], Goodness [Kindness], Mildness, Fidelity, Modesty, Continency [Chastity].
The ten lords a-leaping were the Ten Commandments.
The eleven pipers piping stood for the eleven faithful Apostles.
The twelve drummers drumming symbolized the twelve points of belief in The Apostles' Creed.

Wisdom from Mark Henderson posted on The Patriot Post today.

Mark Hendrickson: "The venerable 'wall of separation between church and state' was originally intended to keep government from bestowing legal privileges or financial favors on one religious sect over others. Now it has morphed into a reductio ad absurdumwhereby no mention (or at least, a respectful or reverential mention) of our country’s dominant religious traditions is to be made in a taxpayer-funded venue. Such a tortured reading of the Constitution is music to the ears of contentious atheists and secular fundamentalists. It represents the temporary triumph of an arid, intellectually feeble legal theory over common sense and tolerance. It renders an honest teaching of world and U.S. history impossible, and greatly limits what literature, art, and music may be incorporated into educational curricula. I mean, how do you teach the history of our own culture and civilization without discussing the Christianization of Europe, the Christian/Muslim wars, the Protestant Reformation, the Christian principles and values that animated the American revolution and later the civil rights movement, and even why science flourished in the Christian West while stagnating everywhere else? Some may not like it, but the fact is that the birth of Jesus two millennia ago marked the beginning of the pivotal life in human history. Just because many of us also believe that the life of Jesus Christ is the key to heaven is no reason for public officials to attempt to censor history or ban that momentous life from our schools."

A better photo

After reading on Wednesday's blogpost about my inability to photograph the entire gorgeous rainbow that morning because it filled the sky, my friend, Mariann, sent me this photo taken by her brother on his phone outside their office.
     Isn't it glorious?

"Gov. Sarah Palin Writes To The Elijah List Family!"

I love this encouraging word Sarah Palin sent to The Elijah List
Pray for our country; pray for godly leaders who will stand for righteousness and morality in the land; pray for godly parents who will raise godly children; pray for hearts to turn back to the Lord; pray, pray, pray!  As Sarah says, "Today, it is imperative that we continue in the tradition of our founders in appealing to Heaven for the survival of our country; not only our leaders, but as voters."

Dear Elijah List Family,

I don't necessarily like to be known as a "politician." When the descriptive noun is applied to me in national interviews I jokingly plea that the reporter not use the "p-word" around me. However, it comes with the territory when one has held office and remains involved with a passion for political and cultural reform. Having been there, and willingly remaining in the lion's den of politics, this politician can see clearly our nation is in a critical season of transition. For many, these are the most frightening days of their lives. Now more than ever our hope must be in the One True God. He is our only hope. He is our security. Not knowing what tomorrow holds, we must know who holds tomorrow.

Many in government and media try to convince us that God should not be in the political arena with us, invoking the concept of "separation of church and state." Don't be deceived into believing we can survive, much less thrive, without Him! Do you know where the phrase "separation of church and state" actually comes from? If you guessed the U.S. Constitution or our Declaration of Independence, you'd be wrong.

Thomas Jefferson referred to it in a letter to the Danbury Baptist Association, which had written him seeking help. Connecticut had established a state church – the Congregational Church, which meant the Baptists' religious freedom was not an inherent right, but a favor granted by the state. Jefferson wrote to the Baptists that he shared their belief in religious freedom and that under the First Amendment was enshrined "a wall of separation" between the federal government and the churches; the government was not allowed to interfere with religion, guidance he expected the states would follow in perpetuity.

Today, it's hip to invoke "separation of church and state" to insinuate or even demand that the Church have no influence on government and no role in politics. That is exactly wrong. In fact, Jefferson's letter to the Danbury Baptists closes with an invocation of God and prayer. (Photo Sweet Freedom: A Devotional - by Sarah Palin viaelijahshopper.com)

Another great American founder, General George Washington, commanded the Continental Army under a flag featuring an evergreen tree and the words "An Appeal to Heaven." Today, it is imperative that we continue in the tradition of our founders in appealing to Heaven for the survival of our country; not only our leaders, but as voters.

Every campaign season, voters face decisions based on many reports. It can be easy to feel fearful of the doom and gloom you hear from big dog media and popular pundits, but as Believers we can take comfort in knowing our God is bigger, stronger, wiser, and so much more merciful towards us than anything we hear in the news.

Use Caleb and Joshua as our example. They were men of faith, not fear. God directed Moses to send twelve spies to Canaan. Ten spies saw giants in the land and relayed fearful reports. They felt as small as grasshoppers and wanted to just hop away into oblivion. But Caleb and Joshua ignored the giants. With unrelenting trust, they went up at once and took possession, "for we are well able to overcome." They knew they were more than conquerors through our mighty God!

Friends, Caleb and Joshua 'r us! And it's time to take possession! Our examples didn't hesitate – we've hesitated long enough, America – we must "go up at once!" and stake claim of this land of the free. Ignore the media giants and consider how to help and whom God would have you support.

Sarah Palin's Endorsement of The Elijah List: "The Elijah List has been a blessing to my family in many ways, including providing us opportunities to share encouragement through the words, articles and even breaking news that's found on the website. Often, God gives encouragement through an article that seems to be written just for situations we face at a specific time... I am thankful for bold faith-filled individuals and teams – like the Elijah List team – working so hard to provide a modern forum that strives to "strengthen, encourage and comfort" the Body of Christ..."
HR
When I was chosen to run for Vice President of the United States, I prayed voters would see through the media haze to see who we, as candidates, really were. Maybe I didn't pray hard enough! Today, many Goliaths are in our nation's path. Just as He led Moses' men to see clearly, He'll give you the same confidence as you seek His direction, personally and politically. It's imperative we support godly, competent leaders.

Between 1933 and 1981, there was only one major presidential address that included the words "God bless America." But when Ronald Reagan kicked off his presidency by invoking God's blessing on our nation, he set a new standard. From his inauguration through President George W. Bush's final term, the phrase was used forty-nine times, and President Obama continued the practice. Our Presidents call out to God. Great! But we need some reciprocity. Our purpose is not just to be blessed by God, but to bless Him. (Photo by Jennifer Page "His Joy"via elijahshopper.com)

Our Founders sought the Lord when embarking on this grand experiment called America, knowing they needed Him if they were to break away from tyranny and to secure freedom.

For God's favor to remain, we must turn back to Him and not squander America's blessings of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. Today, thank God for blessing us. Remember Psalm 33:12"Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord, the people He chose for His inheritance."Pray every heart turns to Him. Take action! Invite God back into this nation – His nation. Rededicate America back to Him.

And have fun doing it. Really! Do not fear and don't let your children fear. Remind them our Warrior King has the whole world in His hands and He wants us to be bold and joyful despite less than ideal circumstances.
Upon my fireplace hearth is a beautiful picture I ordered from the Elijah List.Artist Jennifer Page depicts the smiling Son of God as our happy Savior full of the vibrant life He freely offers us. In my living room, Jesus is cracking up! I want my family to look up and see He is the cup of overflowing laughter, carefree sweet freedom, and miraculous blessings we can drink from to nourish our homes and our nation if we'll all look up and believe Nehemiah 8:10,"The joy of the Lord is your strength!" (Photo of Sarah Palin's mantle via Sarah Palin for The Elijah List)

Merry, merry Christmas brothers and sisters!

The Father's Love Letter

I don't know who is responsible for putting this Love Letter from God together but it is a wonderful compilation of what God says about us and how He sees us.  I have an audio version of the letter that I used to listen to as I sat quietly in God's presence, but had forgotten about it until a friend sent me a meditation that included part of it.  I looked up the text of the letter so I could post it here. It is so beautiful that I believe we should print it off and read it every day.
It seems the Christmas season is a perfect time to share it with others.  Isn't that the true meaning of Christmas--that God sent His Son to show us how much He loves us?  Christ was the Father's Love Letter incarnate.
My prayer is that this year we would all come to know in a greater way how much God loves us--that it wouldn't just be head knowledge but would get deep into our hearts.  Love really is 'what the world needs now' and the only way that is going to happen is if we share the love the Father freely gives us with others.

Prophetic Word: Love, Hope and Joy Being Released Now by Doug Addison

A new word from Doug Addison for December:

Prophetic Word: Love, Hope and Joy Being Released Now
December 2015
Get ready to cross over into a new time in which things will not go the way they did in the past.
December is going to be a time of surprises and the release of new gifts and revelation. It is going to look strange at times as we are in the midst of a major transition.
Unexpected blessings and deeper insight and revelation are coming. This is a time to pull back and not get too busy. Take time to listen and write down what God is speaking right now. Expect to hear God’s voice and to have prophetic dreams between Christmas and the New Year.
The first part of 2016 will start to ramp up and sudden turnarounds will begin to increase.
Expect sudden acceleration and advancement.
Last New Year’s Eve
On December 31, 2014 I had a very powerful spiritual encounter. I literally heard audible cries of people who have been wounded by uncaring Christians and leaders. The Lord told me, “Their cries have reached my ears and I must respond.”
After this, I began getting more revelation about the new move from God that is going to be for the outcasts and those who have been rejected by Christianity. This is going to start in 2016 with many people who are wounded warriors.
This new order of things is going to look and feel unusual and stretch your understanding of what is possible.
“But with God all things are possible.” Matthew 19:26b NIV
The children of promise
The spiritual atmosphere is full of expectation right now. Things are pregnant and ready for the birth of something new. But there is a moment of silence just before it happens.
You will need to pause from busyness to capture all that is happening as sometimes it might not be all that dramatic.
God is preparing the ones who have been in a season of obscurity to begin to come forward in 2016. For many people this has been a painful time of rejection and feeling that they missed God. These wounded warriors are similar to the “children of God” mentioned in Romans 8.
“I consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us. For the creation waits in eager expectation for the children of God to be revealed.” Romans 8:18–20
Many people who are going to be part of this next movement have been rejected and wounded and have been in a seven-year wilderness season since 2008. But God has hidden them for this very time to come forward. As this is happening, the earth itself is experiencing birth pains and turmoil.
“We know that the whole creation has been groaning as in the pains of childbirth right up to the present time.” Romans 8:22
Look back 9 months ago
Quite often God will speak to us or release something and it takes time to germinate and form. It is similar to the way a baby comes nine months after conception. Nine months ago, in March 2015, spiritual invitations went out and the wounded warriors and hidden ones began to awaken.
Look back to what started to happen last March but may not have fully taken shape yet in your life. A major verdict happened over the spiritual lives of those who have been hidden and are being called to be part of this next move of God.
Next 9 months
The next nine months, between December 2015 and September 2016, will be a strategic time of birthing the destiny of many who are called to the next level. Like childbirth, it is often painful and messy and you will be stretched in your understanding of what is possible.
The enemy will try to bring accusations and jealousy against those who are coming forward. You will be able to recognize those who are being promoted by their humility, love and honor.
It will be important for us all to keep in mind that as we cross into this new season we will need to “Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past.” Isaiah 43:18
A prophetic sign
I got these prophetic words last week and God spoke to me that as a sign of this new movement coming, a baby girl was born to Facebook CEO and billionaires Mark Zuckerberg and his wife Priscilla Chan. On the week of Thanksgiving, their daughter Max Chan Zuckerberg was born.
The Zuckerbergs created a fund and pledged to give 99% of its $45 billion to charity to help find cures for diseases and to promote human equality. The Facebook CEO included a letter to his daughter in Tuesday’s post. He wrote:
“Max, we love you and feel a great responsibility to leave the world a better place for you and all children. We wish you a life filled with the same love, hope and joy you give us. We can’t wait to see what you bring to this world.” Read the full story here.
The meaning of the name Max is the “greatest.” We are about to see one of the greatest moves of God that will bring love, hope and joy to the world.
God moved on the Zuckerbergs to give their wealth to charity and it will indeed help starving people and fund the discovery of cures for diseases. God is moving to release finances into the world and into the Kingdom of God.
This is a time to have love, hope and joy!
Blessings,
Doug Addison

A Morning Gift

I was feeling rather lazy this morning so I was lying in bed watching this glorious  sunrise. God is so creative!   I finally couldn't stand it any longer.  I had to try to capture the beauty in a photo.

Of course, when you live in the woods it is difficult to take in all the beauty because of the trees, but still, the pink glow was mesmerizing.  As I walked past the front door to get my camera I saw the whole sky was pink and then I realized there was a most beautiful rainbow stretching across the western sky.  It was a perfect rainbow but I couldn't get far enough away to capture both sides.

I grabbed my coat & shoes & in my pajamas, I walked out into the horse pasture to get free of the trees so I could have a clearer view.  It was spectacular!!!  What a precious gift!  In the beginning God sent a rainbow as a promise and today He sent another as a testimony of His power and goodness.

I was reminded of our grandson, Parker's comment when he was about 3 years old.  He was riding in the car with his mom after a rainstorm.  A beautiful rainbow appeared.  He shouted, "Look a rainbow!  I believe in God!"  That is the response I felt this morning.  Who but a loving God would create such beauty for us to enjoy for a moment and then He is on to creating other things?

Last NIght's "Our Hometown Christmas"

As you may have surmised from the lack of postings--I've been very busy helping to prepare for "Our Hometown Christmas" in Linn Park.  Dahnke's--our local tree farm--donated eight 6 foot trees which they installed near electrical outlets in the Park and then we added lights to them and in several other places in the Park.  Then on Thursday we decorated our float, then Friday I made 15 dozen cookies.

Last night we had such fun at the celebration!  We gave away 300 hot dogs, over 10 gallons of hot chocolate, many bottles of water and at least 45 dozen cookies.  The weather was amazing--68 degrees on December 12th which is almost unheard of, so lots of people turned out.

The Live Nativity was a great hit--especially since this year we had a live camel.  The donkey was so cute, the participants did a great job of portraying the message and the cattle (cow) 'lowed' at just the right times.  Norma did a wonderful job of spacing the action throughout the Park and then she read the script as the actors did their part.  The Bible Church singers added much to the whole presentation.

The Firemen's Auxiliary Parade of Lights had over 40 entries this year.  It was beautiful!  Our Martinsville on the Move float won the prize for the "most original."  Because of the lights and movement several of the photos I took were too blurry to post, but here are a few that turned out well enough to post.
